
The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority โ Cavite in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM) successfully convened the 4th Quarter Community Training and Employment Coordinators (CTEC) Meeting on November 27, held at the 2nd Floor Function Hall, New Provincial Government Center in Trece Martires City. The gathering brought together TVET coordinators from various local government units across the province, reinforcing Caviteโs commitment to expanding community-based skills development and employment opportunities.
The program formally opened with an inspiring message from Ms. Rizalie Pinpin-Enero, OPPESM Head, who acknowledged the vital role of CTECs in driving inclusive growth by ensuring that Caviteรฑos have access to quality skills training and livelihood opportunities.
The meeting highlighted key updates and accomplishments in Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) implementation in Cavite. Ms. Rowena D. Nomio, Community-Based Training (CBT) Focal of TESDA, presented the 2025 accomplishments on livelihood programs, vocational education, and community-based training initiatives implemented across different LGUs. Her report underscored the continuous and collaborative efforts to uplift communities through accessible skills training and livelihood support.
Adding depth to the discussion, Mr. Allan T. Pastrana, TESD Specialist II and Regional CBT Focal, conducted an orientation on Community-Based TVET Programs, emphasizing their importance in addressing local skills gaps and supporting grassroots development. His presentation provided coordinators with updated guidelines and strategies to enhance program implementation in their respective localities.
The meeting concluded with strengthened coordination among LGUs and TESDA partners, paving the way for more impactful and responsive TVET programs for Caviteรฑos in the coming year.
