The DOT-7, along with its partner government agencies and local government units, holds a press conference today March 23, to officially launch the government’ anti-scam program for tourists, the Turista iWAS Scam.
The press conference aims to educate the public and the media about the whole-of-government approach in ensuring a safer travel experience and protecting tourists and tourism stakeholders against fraudulent online activities, specifically online impersonation and fraudulent booking schemes.
Other panelists include the PRO-7, Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center-Visayas (CCIC), Cebu Association of Local Tourism Officers (CALTO), and the Hotel, Resorts and Restaurants Association of Cebu Inc. (HRRACI).
