
On October 8, 2024, the Cooperative and Livelihood Training Center in the City of Imus buzzed with excitement as the COOP I-Create program hosted the graduation ceremony for Batch 5 of its Ladderized Training for Cooperatives (LTC). The initiative, which is part of the Cavite Responsible Entrepreneurs Aiming Towards Economic Stability, is a collaborative project of the Office of the Provincial Cooperative Development Officer (OPCDO) and IMUST Cooperative Federation.
The event began with a presentation by Batch 5, consisting of 10 cooperatives and 21 participants. Following a hearty lunch, attendees gathered for the graduation ceremony of “Team Innovative.” The ceremony kicked off with a warm welcome from Mr. Generoso F. Ramos Jr., Head of CICLEDO, who set a positive tone for the day’s festivities.
Ms. Avelina Lopez, Chairperson of the IMUST Coop Federation, delivered inspiring opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of cooperative education and the role it plays in community development. Mr. Alvin S. Mojica, MPA, Department Head of OPCDO, congratulated the participants for their dedication and commitment throughout the training program.
Dr. Aldrin P. Antivola, the Coop i-CREATE Resource Person and Consultant, presented the graduation segment, celebrating the achievements of Batch 5. Participants received certificates of completion, marking their hard work and the skills they acquired during the training. Dr. Antivola also shared a heartfelt send-off message, encouraging graduates to apply their newfound knowledge in their respective cooperatives.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Janice T. Burgos-Diesta, Head of the Cooperative Division of OPCDO, who reiterated the importance of lifelong learning in the cooperative sector.
The COOP I-Create program continues to empower cooperative leaders in Cavite, fostering economic stability and sustainable development within the community. The graduation ceremony was not just a celebration of individual achievements, but a testament to the collective progress of the cooperative movement in the region.
