Cavite youth leaders were further empowered as the Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO), rolled out a dynamic capacity-building workshop on Youth Leadership and Development for members of the Pag-Asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) on November 14 at the New Provincial Government Center in Trece Martires City.
Youth leaders and representatives from the municipalities of General Mariano Alvarez, Ternate, and Silang, and the cities of Trece Martires, Dasmariรฑas, General Trias, Bacoor, and Imus gathered for a day dedicated to sharpening leadership skills, building confidence, and cultivating a deeper sense of service.
In her opening message, Ms. Jessie Rose Cruto of OPSWDO welcomed the participants and set a motivating tone for the dayโs sessions. The workshop featured engaging and insightful discussions led by Mr. Robin Q. Esteba and Mr. Jose Andrew Bunan, both Campus Missionaries in Indang.
Mr. Esteba emphasized the importance of self-awareness, encouraging the youth to identify and maximize their strengths as a foundation for effective leadership. Mr. Bunan followed with an inspiring talk on servant leadership, highlighting that genuine leadership begins with sincere service to others and reinforcing that leadership โis about living by example.โ
The event concluded with a message from PYAP Provincial Federation President Ms. Khaylan Sinuhin, who commended the collective efforts to build a strong, empowered, and community-grounded youth sector in Cavite.
With renewed passion and enhanced skills, Caviteโs young leaders leave the activity more equipped and inspired to contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities.
